NERC has recently announced an important user consultation exercise focused on Services and Facilities. NERC needs feedback to decide on the investment priorities for its facilities, including the Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa (CCAP), so a clear expression from the user community of its requirements for these facilities is vital. The survey is open to ‘Principal Investigators eligible to apply for grants’ who constitute only a small proportion of CCAP users so responses would be greatly appreciated. There is no guarantee that CCAP, or any other NERC facility, will be commissioned without a clear expression that it is required by the UK research community. If CCAP is not re-commissioned then the Collection will no longer be capable of maintaining its current diverse taxonomic range of strains and these will be lost to the UK user community.

The survey is very brief (only 8 questions) and you can find it here. The deadline is 4pm on 30th September.
